Timber Protection

After we have finished cutting and sanding the timbers, we apply one coat of protection on all exposed surfaces. This keeps the timbers looking new from the day it is applied until you are ready to apply a coat of stain.

The protection we use is an environmentally safe formula that helps stop the aging process, including excessive checking associated with rapid moisture loss after timbers have been cut. This treatment also reduces unwanted discoloration caused by fungi and damage caused by UV rays.

Any other finish may be easily applied over this coating. We recommend that the final coating be applied within six months.
