Dovetail Walls

Dovetail is available in 6 x 10 and 8 x 10 Daizen profile or chinking style. The chinking style can be cut up to 12 x 16. All the joinery is very precise. This dovetail shell with roof is 2,100 square feet, about 17,800 bdft.

Interlocking Dovetail Joints

Dovetail joints are one of the strongest joints available in log building styles. Daizen also applies interlocking joints that prevent wind or water from running between the joints.

Daizen's dovetail shape is unique. We apply chamfer to the end to make it look even more distinct.

Profile or Chinking

This Daizen original profile has a sloped tang that achieves a tight fit after the wood shrinks. A double space in between permits a weather seal that will make whole walls airtight. This profile comes in 6 x 10 or 8 x 10. Contact us for further details.
